A unique opportunity to build serious offshore mileage and sea time on a genuine Mediterranean-to-Atlantic passage aboard a 45ft sailing yacht.
Route: Barcelona → Gibraltar → Lanzarote, Canary Islands
Distance: Approx. 1,100–1,250 NM
Departure: Barcelona, 25–28 September 2026
Duration: Approx. 12–14 days, weather dependent
Crew: Maximum 5 participants

THE PASSAGE
A genuine Mediterranean-to-Atlantic offshore passage designed for sailors looking to build substantial sea mileage, sea time and real offshore experience.
We will sail from Barcelona through the Mediterranean, via the Strait of Gibraltar and into the Atlantic towards Lanzarote in the Canary Islands.
After Gibraltar, expect several days of continuous Atlantic sailing with a proper offshore watch system.
RYA YACHTMASTER MILE BUILDING
An excellent opportunity for sailors working towards the sea-time and mileage prerequisites for the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore examination.
The RYA has confirmed that qualifying passages do not have to be carried out with an RYA Training Centre.
Participants remain responsible for ensuring that their individual sea time and passages meet the applicable RYA requirements.
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
This is not about simply sitting aboard collecting miles.
Everyone becomes part of the sailing crew and participates according to their experience and ability:

SMALL CREW – REAL PARTICIPATION
Maximum 5 participants.
Keeping the crew small means everyone has the opportunity to actively participate in the passage, watches, navigation and handling of the yacht.
PROFESSIONAL SKIPPER
The passage will be under the command of a:
PPER – Spanish Professional Recreational Yacht Skipper, with extensive and proven sailing experience.
SAILING RECORD
At the end of the passage, each participant will receive a detailed signed sailing record, including:
• Dates
• Departure and arrival ports
• Passage completed
• Nautical miles sailed
• Sea time
• Night sailing
• Role aboard
Participants can also maintain their own personal sailing logbook throughout the passage.
