1st Engineer - Temporary / Seasonal - Costa Rica
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the main engines, generators, propulsion equipment and auxiliary machinery.
• Maintain AC and DC electrical systems, batteries, charging, shore power, plumbing, hydraulics, HVAC, refrigeration, watermakers and fuel systems.
• Plan and complete preventive maintenance, maintain accurate engineering logs and manage critical spares and consumables.
• Prepare the vessel technically for offshore passages and identify reliability or safety issues before departure.
• Diagnose and repair faults onboard; engage and supervise specialist contractors when necessary.
• Support emergency preparedness, damage control, watchkeeping and the training of crew assisting with engineering work.
