Boat sitter - Temporary / Seasonal - €2500 - General (Europe)
33M motor yacht: We are seeking a handy person and/or engineer watchkeeper to spend the winter on board maintaining and upgrading ready for next season. Location - North East Spain.
Monthly salary can reflect the skills. An experienced carpenter would be perfect and/or engineering background.
A couple would also be acceptable although there is only one job open, some interior prep days could also be avaiiable.
There is a large crew area with captain cabin suitable for couple, It has its own crew mess/lounge and crew galley, so ideal for an overwintering person or couple.
If the applicant is able to work with teak repairs, paint, varnish and able and willing to maintain lines and keep the yacht secure and weathertight, thats the key. work, improvements and upgrades can also be discussed and even compensated additional extra (if special skills) on an agreed schedule...
Future employment for the long term can also be discussed in the event of a successful winter season!
The key here is a keen maritime enthusiast, good with the hands, fit, capable and willing to undertake hard work and a commitment to the yacht. crew qualifications are not required other than a basic understanding and history of boat/yacht care and support.
References will be crucial and a clean driving licence plus visa or ability to remain in europe on board will be crucial .
