Delivery Crew - Temporary / Seasonal - United States

I am looking for one crew member to join me for a passage from Beaufort, NC to Deale, MD, approximately 325 nm. Two or more crew make it unnecessarily complex. My 2018 Hallberg-Rassy 412 sloop cruises at 5.5 -7 kts and motors at 6 - 7 kts, making the run approximately 2.5 - 3 days.

I will be in Beaufort, NC until 23 Oct 26 (+/-) until the sea state changes. It has made it unsafe to impossible for me to do this run solo. Traffic has severely limited my ability to nap in 20 minute increments in the broad region.

Although current forecasts show reasonable departure dates close to the end of October, it will likely be a final decision two days before departure so someone nearby would be the easiest to make this happen. The reality is all I need is to get a little sleep and be awoken if there are ANY questions.

I will incurr all expenses, including travel to Beaufort and from Deale. If you are professional crew or a delivery captain and require other compensation, we can discuss that as well.

  • Boat descriptionHallberg-Rassy makes one of the most solid, high end blue water sailboats out there. They are also know for their incredible fit and finish. She is their model 412 (monohull sloop) and was built in 2018 for me. Since then I have maintained like new and added lots of additional conveniences. Most important thing on the boat is safety (next being communication). Bad decisions and rushed itineraries are not the way to go. As far as safety gear, you name it, she’s got it. All have been certified as of 2024/25.
