Summer in NZ islands, Winter in Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu ...

Discovering the Southern Pacific ocean, I would like to share skills & experience with a full crew of 3 to 4 on board , buiiding up a coherent group of sailors on (relatively) easy crossings, island hopping & coastal wanderings. This before tackling the Eastward passage to Patagonia.
I like crew to participate actively to all aspects of sailing & life onbard.
We would be called upon to act as a group in the manner of racing teams, meaning each of us taking roles in turn of navigator to helmsman, to trimmer adjusting sails & all 3 acting as one to fly (? Relative to ability of sv Lucky Girl) over the water. Domestic chores taken care of with same enthusiasme às well as maintenance.
Boarding & departing from Noumea to New Zealand, coastal discovery of East to West coast, with extended time in the South island (trekking anyone ?). Then come April, back up North to ghe islands, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, NC ... Coral sea ? Tasmanian ? All crossings 7 to 10 days, shorter than islands discovery.
Divers, mechanics, electficians, musicians, lumberjac’s or just willing to learn with eyes wide open are welcome. We shall share !
We will also share expenses by feeding the petty cash piglet, 10 Euro (equivalents in other currency) per person, per day On Board. The money to be used for stores (food, drinks, cleaning ...). In addition we shall pay for bunkers, DO, on basis of 2.6 liters per hour run, with deduction of 2 hrs per day for thd captain alone. Corresponds to being impatient to reach destination by crew. Rest of bunkers (gas, ... shared when resupplying.

  • Boat descriptionSailing yacht - Ketch built 1977 - She sailed around once & fof the last 7 years was home to Scottish family of 4 (two young kids) who took her from the Northern Atlantic to the South Pacific islands. They left her in Noumea, New Caledonia where I took over & plan to discover the Southern Pacific islands for the next 2 years, before The crossing Eastward to Chili & Patago For the next 2 years, 2027 to 2028 we shall sail the route of the seasons, moving to New Zealand for the summer, before moving back up to Tropical islands Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia for the winter & back down South via Australia Coral & Tasmanian seas. All crossings are 7 to 10 days, with island hopping & discovery of new cultures in between. Fully equipped for long runs & anchoring in remote locations, family safe she is self sufficient in many ways to ensure a long trip. She can accomodate one in style, but would rather see a bunch of 4 on board to play cards & exchange tales; This is what makes it the Big Mama Social club. She is not a racer but a dancer; she can roll & lengthen her stride to surf down waves at 14 knots ! with her 12 Tons & her 12 Meters LOA. Quite a lady of the sea.
