Deckhand Needed for Seasonal Day-Charter Sailing Yacht – Naxos, Greece
Position: Deckhand / Stewardess (Crew of 2)
Location: Based in Naxos, Greece
Vessel: 45-foot (14m) Sailing Yacht
Duration: Immediate start until late September
Itinerary: Daily coastal cruises (Day trips only)
Job Description:
Naxos Sailing Tours is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deckhand to join our 2-person crew for the remainder of the summer season. Operating a premier 45-foot sailing yacht out of Naxos, we deliver high-quality daily excursions through the Cyclades.
This role offers an exceptional working environment on a well-maintained vessel with a relaxed, positive onboard atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Captain with safe vessel operations, including line handling, mooring, and anchoring.
• Participate in general deck maintenance, watchkeeping, and ensuring the yacht remains guest-ready at all times.
• Deliver excellent hospitality and guest service from morning embarkation to afternoon disembarkation.
• Guide guests safely during swim stops and shore excursions.
• Note: There is no cooking required onboard. The crew joins guests for a traditional taverna lunch on shore (typically in Paros) during a 2-hour midday break.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Passionate about sailing, the ocean, and outdoor hospitality.
• Strong communication skills with a warm, professional, and guest-oriented demeanor.
• Reliable team player capable of working closely and efficiently with the Captain.
• Prior sailing experience or STCW/ENG1 certifications are advantageous but not strictly mandatory for the right personality and work ethic.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
