The Milebuilding Club
The Milebuilding Club, based on the Solent is the proven route from Day Skipper to skippering competence. We day-sail weekly - weather permitting and take regular trips further afield for a few days at a time.
Sailing with the club is an excellent way to learn new skills and consolidate existing knowledge - or to put it another way - to go from navigating a desk in a classroom to getting around the Solent unscathed. And all in a cordial atmosphere on a nice yacht.
As your experience builds with us you could progress to the Yachtmaster qualification, yacht ownership or confidently charter at the worlds greatest sailing destinations.
Regular weekly sailing is day-sailing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We return to base each evening. This format facilitates regular year-round sailing that is easily incorporated into a busy life. Sailing is coordinated by online calendar.

Easy Going sailing for everyone
I sailed with paul and other members quite a few times and was made to feel very welcome, i had very little knowledge of sailing or how a sail boat worked before i joined them after the first few days out and i felt more confident and got into a routine i really started to enjoy my days out from day one i got to steer the boat under sail and motoring with all the members on board sharing their knowledge paul especially is always asking you questions, setting you tasks like 3 point fixes and general map work , tides times and heights, rights of way, etc the whole day your onboard your always learning , sharing a nice cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit taking a moment to relax and take in the surroundings sailing with the motor off its lovely and quiet and brings a big smile to your face, if you just want to sit back and do nothing all day this is not for you its hands on sailing you could learn to sail anywhere else but never get the same experience as sailing in the solent every aspect of sailing is covered so if learning to sail and going for your comp crew or day skippers is what you want this is the boat to be on thanks to paul i now have the confidence to go out sailing and hope to sail with him many times again in the future after all this corona madness is over .
