Preparing for a transatlantic back to Caribbean.
Weather is making it difficult to plan but I'm currently in Brest. I'ad really like crew for the next leg as there is a lot of shipping traffic.
I may stop at A Coruna, Spain, or another port in Spain or Portugal, but with time getting short might skip that and head straight to Canaries. Depart Canaries roughly mid-November 2018. I expect to make landfall in Barbados or Martinique, then head north pretty quickly. Will stop at St Martin, then Virgin Islands. You can depart the boat anywhere you like, but must be prepared to depart within a few days after reaching Virgin Islands.
I would like experienced amateur crew who can stand a watch so I can get sleep. You can do all or part of the trip. Must be pretty fit, bring good foul weather gear and something warm for sleeping.
I would like crew to do some work as needed.
I'll provide the bulk of the food. You pay for luxuries or special treats, and your food/drink ashore.
I can teach plenty and am happy for any special skills you bring or can teach.

I'm in Amsterdam after nearly a month making my way north from Vlissingen. Having a nice time on the canals and exploring Netherlands. I might go to Scotland for part of August.
May 2016
I will fly back to England and launch my boat, then sail to Netherlands, cruise up the Stande Mast Route in the canals stopping along the way, up to Amsterdam and spend about a month there.
The main goal is to explore Netherlands from the canals. The only "real" sailing is the crossing of the English channel. After a few months exploring Netherlands I may go to France, or Baltic, or ???
About the middle of October I'll leave the boat and fly back to the Caribbean to work for the winter. (unless a better opportunity comes up!)
It would be a more fun trip with a female companion to share it with.

Left my boat in England. Will be delivering a catamaran from Grenada to USVI in Nov-Dec 2015.
After that skippering day charters until May, then back to England to sail in Europe.

I selected my 2 delivery crew for the trip to England and Holland and plan to leave Sao Miguel about the 20th or 21st July.
28 June
Arrived Horta. Great trip here from Bermuda. Now need 1 or 2 more crew as mine are flying home. Will likely leave Horta in about 2 weeks.
We sailed USVI to Azores starting in May 2015. (June 6 we were in Bermuda) VI to Bermuda to Azores to England, then Holland shortly after.
Looking for crew from Azores to England to Amsterdam, and possibly (female) friendship/relationship as crew for the trip and hanging out in Holland, etc. It would be nice to have a traveling companion for the summer/fall in Europe, and beyond.
I have a USCG 100 ton Master license, BVI Boatmaster license, and have worked as a day charter boat captain for two seasons in USVI/BVI. Before that I worked as a Mechanical Engineer.
I started sailing as a child and have had a cruising boat since 2008, cruised Bahamas in 2010, US East Coast 2011 and sailed non stop Chesapeake to BVI in 2012. Lived aboard most of the time since 2008. Some solo and some with a mate.
