We are a young globetrotting family living on our 24 meter motorboat. It is really our dream, Dutch-built floating home with incredible comfort, intensive cooking, art, music, books and tons of toys.
Many Crewbay amigos ask us why we'd welcome strangers to this life. It's our philosophy to welcome novelty and not comfortably stick to family and friends. Life has been good to us and we want to give back. We did 12 years of land-based couch surfing before the boat - rooted on the same life philosophy :)
Greek locals can't believe how many islands were cruised the last10 seasons. We explore a lot! We chase the wind to kitesurf, and always anchor in the wild. We NEVER stay in marina. We are NOT the usual 'motorboat' people since i grew up racing and delivering SAIL boats.
I use our magic dinghy a lot to help sailing boats whenever they have anchoring troubles. We are sailors very respectful to marine etiquette. I'm obsessed with pollution so we clean beaches and pick up floating plastic non stop. Boat functions have been trimmed to minimum, optimal diesel usage (max 15 liters a day).
Personally i prefer the remote creeks away from the crowd. Sometimes they aren't even anchorage as there is no space and we anchor in 2 meter depths with fish playing around.
The family prefers anchoring close to villages so the kids can enjoy a bit of social life.. and the grown ups can eat out and party too
We are looking for easy going people who simply become part of the family. Visiting guests share all activities. It's important you use your common sense to help and anticipate needs, and keep your cabin tidy at all time.
We are looking for female guests only since your cabin is shared with our super cool French nanny. AND it better fits our hedonistic lifestyle.
Your humorous owner/captain has travelled 150 countries in 10 years and has one million stories to tell. There are 100s of books and CDs and DVDs on board. He is a PADI divemaster and on his spare time spearfishes to bring you the freshest seafood you will ever taste.
Apart from kitesurf gear we also have a stand up paddle and plenty of scubadiving and snorkelling gear. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy watersports on a daily basis and we are happy if you do. We like sporty guests.
We take care of all the costs on board, wine, eating out (a lot!), just like we do for all our visiting friends. You just have to get here ;)
