Seeking female crew Caribbean

Currently cruising the beautiful areas of Martinique/St Lucia, to as far South as Grenada.
The Panama transit and then the South Pacific to Australia, and possibly New Zealand is the longer term plan, probably 2020, always weather permitting :-)
Ultimately I’d like to team up with a like minded lady to share the rest of the journey/adventure, however, I will consider couples who already know they get along most of the time living in a confined space.
Some experience would be preferred however I’m prepared to teach an enthusiastic person every aspect of sailing and running the boat, or at least enough to competently and safely contribute!
If you have passage experience
If you know how to trim a sail
If you have night watch experience
If you know you don't get seasick
If you are a non smoker
If your passion is sailing and traveling
If you have a desire to cross an Ocean one day!
If one of them is the Pacific
If you want to do it in comfort
If your attitude is positive
If you are happy to contribute financially for the experience of a lifetime, message Bruce here or on the "Sailing Monastrell" Facebook page.

It began in Greece with buying and preparing Monastrell for the adventure of sailing her back to Australia!
After 10 months and many passages, including crossing the Atlantic in April 2018 I am now in the Caribbean, exploring and eventually preparing for the next stage, being Panama and the South Pacific!
I’m a guy who likes to live in a nice clean and tidy (most of the time) environment, I typically look after my stuff well and would expect the same from anyone who gets to enjoy sharing Monastrell.
Boats don’t look beautiful or arrive safely to destinations by accident, so a willingness to share the daily maintenance workload and daily expenses is a prerequisite, of course it shouldn’t be all work and no play, it’s about balance and play is an important part of that, there are lots of interesting, beautiful places to see and lots of wonderful people to meet and spend time with, that’s the cruising life!!
Come and join me

  • Boat description2009 Beneteau Oceanis 46 I took ownership of "Monastrell" in Greece Oct 2016, wintered her and returned home to Hobart, Tasmania. I returned June 2017 and began preparing her for my adventure of sailing her back to Australia via the Atlantic, Panama and Pacific. I'm currently in Las Palmas, Canary Islands doing the final prep for the Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean, and am looking for crew, preferably with some passage experience (refer to ad detail) who are like minded and looking to experience everything Ocean passaging has to offer with the final reward of being able to bathe in beautiful turquoise waters in a geographically and culturally rich and diverse environment. I've spent the big dollars purchasing and preparing her, ongoing maintenance and repairs are my responsibility also, I am asking for crew to share the day to day expenses. Most of my trip so far has been singlehanded, which is rewarding but my time spent with good crew aboard has been more so, so now I'm inviting like minded people to share in this awesome experience. If you are interested drop me a line, Cheers Bruce Full safety gear, lifejackets, safety lines, lazy lines, serviced liferaft, flares etc. The Beneteau Oceanis 46 is a very comfortable boat as a live aboard as well as being a lovely and easy boat to sail with almost all controls leading back to the cockpit, including reefing, minimising the need to go up on deck, making her safe and a pleasure to sail! She is equipped with AIS and radar, VHF and MF/HF radios along with the standard, chart plotters, navigation, auto pilot and wind instruments found on most blue water cruisers! She also has solar panels, generator and water maker :-)
