Update : Dona Catharina available again for a new expedition
Our 60foot steel ketch, the Dona Catharina has made a name for her self in the last years. Plenty successful expeditions and a the rescue of a shipwrecked crew has made international headlines. ( just type Dona Catharina into your search engine to find out more) We are now looking again for a new adventure . We are calling for film makers, research projects, scientists or explorers and adventurers. We are now in the preliminary planing stage of a Stewart Island, Fjordland and as a highlight Auckland Island voyage ( permit depending). I will need crew to help me bring our vessel from the Bay of Island down the east coast of NZ towards Stewart Island early January 2020 and also crew to sail her from Milford Sound back up the west coast towards the Bay of Islands in March 2020 I hope to attract enough interest to fund the the running costs of Dona Catharina by people who want to visit some of these last wildernesses on our planet and you are welcome to show your interest . I hope therefore to offer the ‘ delivery part of this adventure on a subsidised cost sharing basis.
in Addition , we are always looking forward to plan a voyage with a purpose and we are looking for your input as an individual or as a group. Preferred sailing area is within 2000 miles of New Zealand . Please contact us with your ideas and budget The vessel will then sail to where you want to go. If we get a crew together for October 2019, we may still do a quick dash up to Vanuatu from NZ and back to NZ
We offer a safe vessel, equiped with dive compressor, kayaks, 2 tenders, surfboard, water maker, crows nest lookout , and are happy to install what your expedition may need.. Sory, we can not afford to offer free rides for hitchhikers .
