Sailing Preveza Greece and island hoping through the Aegean to Crete
Hi Everyone,
As of today 13th April 2024 I am inviting applications for crew in 2024 for the cruise/passage mentioned. Female crew are my choice and I will explain my reasons to anyone who asks. Men please take note that I am not taking on male crew. Best wishes to all for a great 2024.
The boat is a very comfortable Amel Meltem 52ft ketch. There is 6ft head room in all cabins so tall crew will always very comfortable and happy.
Crew are expected to be willing and interested and have a reasonable knowledge of some basic knots. For various reasons I prefer female crew. My watchwords are; Safety, Freedom, Fun, Peace, Relaxation.
As a Captain I love to share what experience and know-how I have. Those that I enjoy sailing with are people who love being on the water and have a live and let live attitude. Other characteristics would be, being happy in their own company, enjoy the society of their fellow crew mates, enjoy serious and silly conversations, have a willingness to recognize different points of view and be confident in their own beliefs, have an understanding of the value of teamwork, be a nonsmoker and be open minded and of a happy disposition.
As for costs, all costs related to the boat and passage are paid by me. Crew are only asked to contribute to food and beverage, in other words the costs that they have control over.
Crew must always feel free to ask questions and make suggestions in relation to all aspects of life on board.
