Cruise Madeira Azores Portugal Biscay to UK
Relaxed cruise to Atlantic Islands, ending in early July or so. Left Cartagena / Malaga area in early April, for Gibraltar, Morocco, Madeira, Azores, Portugal, and thence to UK, with timetables (both passages and coastal hops) to be decided with the crew.
Now (25 April) in Madeira.
Offshore passages are expected to be 3-5 days. Lots of opportunity to tour at stops.
Boat is a long-distance blue water cruising yacht. Oyster 47. Well equipped. Six berths in three cabins, two heads & showers. Generator & all the usual home comforts. Microwave, freezer, washing machine etc. Conventional sloop rig.
We are seeking one or two companionable crew (could be a couple) so we can do a relaxed trip with night passages, enjoying extended stops at ports of call. Lots of tourist time.
Ideally crew need to be open-minded, gsoh, solvent, not running away from anything, non-smokers (inside outside or anywhere else). No hang-ups, drugs or unsociable habits. Enthusiasm and willingness to muck in are important. As is sharing life. Five star gourmet chefs, musicians and singers are welcome!
Recent YM and mile-builders welcome. But no very short-terms please. Ideally you will be able to join for a few weeks. But at the same time, we can be flexible. The bottom line is to have a fun, learning cruise.
Skipper pays all boat & mooring costs. Shared provisioning, including all on board, €10
