Watch: Vibe Impression of the next trip

Sailing & Sustainability Adventure Fleet | September in Croatia

Calling ocean adventurers, mermaids, and changemakers. Meet on the Ocean Nomads fleet

This is the idea. We rent a couple of boats and bring together a beautiful bunch of adventurous unconventional dream chasers on a mission. It's a rather spontaneous idea. Let us hear from you as soon as possible if you'd like to join so we can all get organized.

Where? Croatia?
When? First week September 2019

With multiple sailing boats we’ll facilitate connection between a beautiful mix of purpose-driven salty souls and between you and nature. As a group we can explore the edges of the ideal. We’ll share ideas, skills, knowledge, support, connections, and above all: fun ocean adventure time!

So far we’re 3 boats, 19 pirates from 11 different nationalities. Most of us are in our 30s and 40s.

The Ocean Nomads philosophy
We share and care for the Ocean Nomads ‘slow sailing’ philosophy. The focus is on simplicity, health, local food and community connection, active, adventure and sustainability mindset, walking the talk, and collaboration.

Ocean Nomads is a tribe of young (by heart:)) adventurous ocean lovers that are after an active outdoor ocean lifestyle. We share the fun, ideas & projects mindful, self-sufficient positive impact ways to live and travel sustainably at sea.

Why Join?
To meet a beautiful bunch of adventurous unconventional dream chasers on a mission.
To accelerate your personal journey to make the dreams happen
To connect to nature
To expand your worldview. You’ll step away from it all and get a dose of fresh perspectives on the world, others, and yourself.
To learn about minimizing your environmental footprint and to share what you have learned.
To find and explore ocean project partnership opportunities
To create memorable moments. Possibly that epiphany moment.
To meet your tribe!

Is this sailing adventure for you?
YES If you (want to) have a mix of the following characteristics:

Eager to explore
Active and sportive
Freedom spirit
Beyond the status quo
Oceanpreneurial spirit
Ocean Respect
Eager to make a difference
You don’t mind being salty!

So much more is possible if we join forces on our journeys. We need to team up, amplify each others messages and build an army to turn the tide.

Here's what some of the previous crew says:

“It was the best week of my life.” – Alexandre (Crew Sicily 2018)

“I learned so much when I joined the fleet! I hitch-sailed from Italy to Fiji after that!” – Pim – (Crew Sicily 2018)

"In my opinion, sailing adventures organized by Captain Suzanne are: 1. A reward for the senses by discovering incredibly beautiful places and breathtaking sceneries. 2. An unbeatable way to get introduced into the nice world of sailing, 3. An open window to learn watching our world and the people from another more conscious perspective. I see her as an inspirational person who, with her example, inspire others with ideas and proposals to define or redefine life projects and use inner energy for more noble purposes.
Please gather support in every possible way at your hand for Suzanne. Our oceans need strong committed people like her to advocate for our natural resources and leave them intact for the generations to come." Jose - Sicily Crew 2018

"She has a deep love for the sea and she is helping others to experience the same. It was an amazing experience to sail with her. She constantly inspired us to explore, to test things out and enjoy her little surprises along the way.
I highly recommend to sail with her and was always feeling safe with her at the helm." Matthias - Sicily Crew 2018

“The most unforgettable week. The trip preparation and the crew members turned what would otherwise be an adventure into something a bit more special. I took part in the Lanzarote sailing week earlier in the year. To say it was life changing sounds dramatic but it really was. Being able to share time and experiences with people with different backgrounds but of a similar mindset was incredible. I like to think that I can have and help contribute to a similar experience for myself and others as a member of the Flotilla crew.” – Ben ( Lanzarote Crew 2019)

  • Boat descriptionShe’s a Jeanneau 41 ft from 86. She’s basic, has soul and has been owned by 3 different families over the last 30 years using her as a home. She has a strong main and headsail and numerous other sails we could put up if the conditions allow. There’s an easy access swimming platform at the back. The saloon is cosy. The kitchen has 2 stoves and oven to make delicious things. She has 2 luxurious cabins (2 x 2 persons), each cabin has its private bathroom and toilet. She has one solar panel which provides us energy for charging our phones and navigation instruments but that’s more or less it. We don’t use the fridge and we don’t need it either. We will hardly use the instruments (except for depth) and predominantly use our sense to feel the wind and adjust to the wind. We have a dinghy and also I got a SUP board.
