Great journey with captain Stamatis

5

My experience of traveling with Stam turned out to be surprisingly pleasant, comfortable and informative. We spent 3 weeks traveling in the Cyclades islands. Stamatis is a friendly, intelligent and educated man. In addition, he is a real gentleman and has a great sense of humor. He has an unusually rich experience in yachting and "golden hands", so he independently repairs the boat, manages sails, thinks over the route and navigation depending on the weather. The yacht is equipped at a high level, there is all stuff for a comfortable life and safe sailing. If you are interested in sailing, then you will undoubtedly gain a lot of useful information in communicating with Stamatis. His advices and experience were extremely informative for me. In addition, we talked a lot on other diverse topics and found a lot in common in our thoughts and mentality. Also on board there is a beautiful lady - the cat Nuri. She is very affectionate, friendly and has a good character. And during the trip, there was always musical accompaniment with a selection of classical music, rock and jazz. I think I was incredibly lucky to meet Stamatis and join him in this travelling.

Captain Stam and The Mare Nostrum

5

Captain Stam has basically customized his vessel from stem to stern, and it is the most well equipped cruising vessel I’ve ever been aboard. Also, he’s the most knowledgeable captain I’ve met, with over 20 years of experience sailing, not to mention that he is also a meteorologist and retired Air Force Major. He is knowledgeable about a considerable amount of history and Greek Culture, which he enjoys sharing. If this wasn’t enough, he is courteous, good-humored and a pleasure to be around. (His cat Nuri is incredibly sweet as well!) Any crew who comes about The Mare Nostrum is very fortunate and indeed in very good hands. Thanks Captain, we’ll never forget our journey! -Joyce and Joseph
