Carribbean island hopping onto central America with scuba set up on board

Hi my name is Huw im 32 from Guernsey and have just crossed the Atlantic on my 36ft sailboat. I'm currently looking for crew to join me for part of my journey through the Caribbean and central America, (generally there will be 4 of us onboard plus my rescue dog Tank, so plenty of space for everyone) we will largely be at anchor, sailing between the islands, fishing (I have rods, handlines and speargun on board), snorkeling and diving, (I have scuba equipment with compressor for up to 5 divers, and I am also a qualified PADI instructor) I also have some kites and boards on board but I am just a beginner. my rough itinerary is something along these lines, now until the 1st of March I will be in the French and Dutch eastern Caribbean islands. After which I'll head to Curacao and Aruba for 3-4 weeks, arriving in Colombia the beginning of April. Onto Panama arriving May where I will spend 4-6 weeks before heading further north to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica and Nicaragua I'm also planning to head to corn island and San Andreas (Colombia). After I'll head back to Panama aiming to cross the canal in September. Where I'll spend a few months on the Pacific side, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador. And onto the South Pacific in 2022. Obviously these timings and destinations may change, but this is a rough plan.
So I'm asking that all crew contribute €25 a day, this will cover all boat and cruising permits, food (vegetarian diet supplemented by caught or speared fish), a modest amount of alcohol, as well as tank fills for scuba diving, obviously within that contribution fuel, wear n tear, breakages, gas, water & insurance (I have basic insurance for injury to crew) is also taken into account.
If you're interested drop me a message and we can speak further.
Cheers
Huw

  • Boat descriptionMy boat is a 36 foot sloop (Elan 362) in good condition, (recently surveyed, keel rebedded, new sails, new nav, many new parts, watermaker, solar, scuba set-up). She sleeps 6 comfortably and 8 at a push, has one toilet and hot shower onboard, fridge but no freezer and no air con. She cruises comfortably at 7 knots but isnt the fastest boat however is definitely up for the task.

Great month of sailing and Diving

Great Skipper for my first month of sailing - he taught me a lot in that month both in sailing and diving. I had a really good time on Huw's boat. Highly recommend!
