"Work-for-sail" trade for sailing trip(s) in the Greek isles
This is a little different to the usual crewing opportunities. We're a small, owner-operated charter company in the Dodecanese, Greece. We often do "work-for-sail" trades at the start of our season; basically, come help us get the boats ready, and you'll get a free sailing holiday(s), everything included.
We need people with strong practical, DIY skills. Woodworking or electrical would be especially welcome. Anyone who is an experienced boat painter would be a demi-god.
Usually we've found this works for people who are new to the sailing scene and want to learn. We've had young travellers with not much $$s, but lots of enthusiasm! Or experienced sailors who are curious to learn what the charter biz is like behind the scenes.
We've also started to add another cool skill-set for "trades" - digital nomads with great marketing / website / SEO skills, to help us keep up with this eternally-changing landscape!
The main refit/work time is anytime from now till early June; we'll be all-hands-on-deck to get the boats ready. Usually we take off for a team sail in the first week of June - a mega-fun celebration of season start!
The trade time is flexible; from a week or so upwards. But with the post-covid environment having changed our work-world so dramatically, we can see lots more flexibility out there. Open to brain-storming!
We have a PDF with lots more details.... just drop us a line and we can send it to you. Also - check out our website,

Work to Sail exchange
I stayed with Diane earlier this year for 3 weeks and had a great experience, the work to sail exchange exactly what i was looking for. Daine and Ray are down to earth, understanding, approachable people who offered support in all aspects of the work and the sail to all the different levels of skill and experience that i shared my stay with. The Aegean islands also offer some beautiful harbour towns, anchorages and historic attractions. I would highly recommend.
