St Maarten-Bermuda-Azores-Uk (ARC Europe)
Hello sailors!
Looking for a 3rd crew member to join in St Maarten or Antigua for the Atlantic crossing back to Europe.
We will attend ARC Europe so there will be around 16 boats following the route from St Maarten-Bermuda-Azores-UK starting early May until end of June. I would prefer some sailing with you in the Caribbean beforehand to make sure we are set as a crew before the crossing.
Louise from Belgium just joined and we will be sailing between St Maarten and Antigua and hopefully to BVI from mid April.
Crew dynamic is valued as much as your sailing experience.
It is a 3 cabin layout so you will get your own cabin and share bathroom with one other crewmember.
Sail setup: Mainsail with 3 reefs, selftacking jib, Code 0, gennaker and storm sail.
Autopilot, two Raymarine Axiom Pro plotters, AIS tranceiver, VHF, radar and Iridium GO.
Lithium battery, EFOY, solar panels and inverter.
Extended first aid kit.
EPIRB, liferaft just been serviced, all lifejackets onboard has AIS mob units.
Watermaker.
I'm 38, from Norway and consider myself as an easy-going person. Working as an helicopter pilot offshore in Norway.
I'm used to handle the boat myself and safety is a priority onboard. I enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, running, reading, good food/drinks and good conversations. My cooking skills are poor, but enjoy all type of food.
Sailing experience is 20000+ nm and still learning new ways of doing things and enjoying crews input and suggestions. Have done 2 Atlantic crossing from east to west.
All food/drinks/boat and ARC Europe expenses are covered by me while onboard, only travel to/from the boat and personal travel Insurance required from you.
