Late season passage to Portugal on an Amel Sharki
I am looking for 3 crew for a passage from Brighton to Lisbon. Experienced crew looking for mile building for their yachtmaster as this will be offshore sailing.
We already have the autumn storms uppon us so we may have to wait for a while in falmouth for a weather window. As its late into the season we will have to go around the shelf so as to not end up with bad wind and waves at the same time. The voyage will be around 800-900nm.
My name is Liam, I am 30, I have been sailing dinghys to tallships and everything imbetween since i was 14 and many miles as a skipper. I have a lovely amel sharki that will go through anything and is as sturdy as they come. Shes a lovely blue water ketch and handles better than many things ive sailed on the biscay.
We will split the costs between us. I dont plan on motoring and we shouldnt have to on this voyage so they should be fairly low. I do plan on us having 7 days between us leaving brighton and setting sail from falmouth so as to wait for signs of corona. I am exploring to see if i can find testing to speed this up.
There is an opotunity to stay on longer when we get there but I havent decided where i will be heading yet.
This is a great opertunity for someone to get offshore experience in a vessel that was built for it. Get in touch if you have any questions.
