Puteri Harbour Marina to Tioman (depart 0800hrs 03-Oct-2020)

I am planning to sail from Puteri Harbour marina, Johor, southern Malaysia, to Pulau Tioman, east coast Peninsular Malaysia, departing Saturday 3rd October between 0800hrs & 0900hrs and taking 3 to 4 days for the passage, day-sailing only. I have one helper lined up, but one or two more would be helpful when rounding Singapore.

Any volunteer helpers interested? As all international borders remain closed, you need to be Malaysia based already.

My boat is a 1975 Morgan Out Island 51 with 3 cabins. A financial contribution towards food & drink would be appreciated but that is all - I am not fixing a $$ amount on this as the trip is only for a few days. Any volunteer helper will cover their own costs to get to & from the boat.

To assist, you will need to get to Puteri Harbour on Friday 2nd at the latest.

Sailing experience would be helpful, but not entirely necessary - the biggest help when rounding Singapore, is more pairs of eyes watching ship movements and for things in the water such as fishing-pots & big logs. The trip will only involve day-sailing. Please also be a happy, easy-going person ... non-smokers preferred, strictly no drugs, no alcohol while sailing, no excessive drinking etc, etc.

From there it moved onto Swedish ownership and my previous owner sailed her from Sweden (departing 2013) to south-east Asia (across the Atlantic & the Pacific Oceans) before then selling her to me in January-2019. Since taking ownership, I have sailed about 4,000miles in her, around Malaysia & Thailand. She is a centre-cockpit ketch with 3 cabins (1 double aft & 2 twins forward), 2 electric toilets, water-maker, generator, big engine, solar panels, big galley & electric cooker, spacious salon, nice sized & secure cockpit area and with safety equipment suitable for crossing oceans.
