First mate/deck hand
Jeff and his wife Paula are searching for crew (can make one, some or all of the legs) to complete their voyage Santa Barbara to Puerto Vallarta south to Barra, North Sea of Cortez and back to CA in summer on their 2017 Xquisite Yacht X5. She is a 50 foot sail cat built in Cape Town,South Africa.
Here is some information to help find fellow crew members who would like to join them for legs of their proposed itinerary. Sea Larks has been working towards this goal for a few years as you will read. They are looking for experienced crew who can help run the boat and enjoy the passages. Paula is often not on board for longer passages, but will join in interesting ports or shorter trips in between visiting the grandchildren. Welcome fellow sailors to join and will cover boat expenses, but we do not want to adopt you. It is very reasonable to ask crew to chip in for provisions (based on what you can afford) for longer passages and of course to be able to pay your way to and from the boat and have money for meals and entertainment ashore. There is a strict NO illegal drug and NO smoking policy…no exceptions. As Paula does not dive, it would be nice to have dive partners, kite surfing or water sports in general.
