1st Mate - Temporary / Seasonal - €>3000 - General (Europe)
The Yacht Set: 1st Mate/deck required for immediate start on a 34M classic charter MY, Atlantic Endeavour.
Suits younger energetic Mate with the willingness and ability to work hard on deck, a track history of staying with a job, fluent in English as a first language and some (AEC type) engine room knowledge.
The yacht runs strict budgets and is hard work. The Mate will be expected to run the deck maintenance and water sports throughout the summer including the varnish brightwork etc and must have experience in painting etc. The yacht is like the forth bridge, painting and varnishing from one end to the other when not on charter, but It is generally a very busy back to back through the season also. The job will suit a young skipper/yacht master looking for the opportunity to move up the career ladder but has experience in yacht maintenance and also water sports /tenders etc
The yacht is not based at any particular port and travels extensively in July and August. This year will be France, Italy and Ionian. T
The job is seasonal at the moment but Yacht will be into refit this winter, so some work in Sept/oct planning refit work also and there
maybe an opportunity to extend the season contract for the right candidate.
