Mr Kenneth Morrison
I am from the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, so used to being around water. I started sailing wayfarer dingies, a folkboat and I have owned a 33 foot Laurin Koster for 10 years. I was also a volunteer skipper on a traditional dipping lug sail Isle of Lewis fishing boat for 15 years. It takes six to sail this boat and I took her to most of the Scottish Islands teaching folk how to sail her. 10 of these years sailing without an engine. I also sailed a 38 foot Irish currach, leather boat, from Iona, Scotland to Ireland. Most of my sailing has been in the North Atlantic. We bought our Laurin Koster in Sweden. Restored her and sailed her from the Baltic to the West coast of Scotland. We have taken her all round Scotland and Ireland and have been up to the Faroe Islands with her. I also acted as 1st mate on 'Elinca'. A Challenge 67 foot sailing boat for a season doing charters to St Kida. My sailing experience in the Mediterranean is that I did my coastal skippers ticket in Gibraltar. I have chartered boats in Sardinia, Corfu, Croatia and Tenerife.
