Looking to gain sailing experience, happy to help with guests, cooking, cleaning & deck work
I’ve recently started getting into the boating world and I am looking for opportunities where I can be useful, keep learning, and contribute with my experience.
So far, I’ve done a sailing course in Buenos Aires and hold a recreational license for sailing and motorboats up to 12 meters along coastal waters, though I don’t feel confident to say I can sail just yet. I also spent a month working on a 28m yacht under repairs in a shipyard in Genoa last November. Tasks included cleaning teak, polishing stainless steel, helping with upkeep and cooking in the crew´s apartment, and some light maintenance.
For the past 8 years, I’ve been living on a Caribbean island in Panama, managing an off-grid lodge and its restaurant. My background is in hospitality, from hotel and restaurant management to hands-on tasks like cooking, bartending, coordinating staff and basic repairs and maintenance. I also enjoy all type of water sports and I like an active and outdoor lifestyle in general.
I’ve wanted to crew on boats for a while now, as I’m exploring a different way of life and a new career path, one that connects with what I know, but also allows me to grow and learn new skills.
I’m proactive, reliable, and not afraid of hard work. I’d love the chance to contribute, be part of a great crew, and keep learning everything I can about life at sea.
