Enthusiastic, Semi-experienced Crew Searching for Oct/Nov Voyages!
Hi!
I am very actively looking for a crew position for this fall! I'd be looking to join from around the 1st of October until the middle of November, so about 7 weeks total. I'm a 30 year old American male living in NYC currently and will be taking some time off work to travel for a few months, and really want to develop my sailing skills more during this time.
I have some sailing experience, about 500 nm and 5 weeks aboard as co-captain with a friend of mine on a yearly week long bareboat charter trip (either in the Caribbean or Baja California, Mexico), and I have the ASA 101/103/104 certifications if that matters as well. Additionally, I have daysailing experience in New York Harbor with a local sailing club. My main goals are just to increase my sailing experience a lot and develop my captaining skills for more than just a week a year at a time, because while I have some on paper experience, my overall milage and live aboard sailing experience is obviously a bit light.
I am a very laid-back and friendly person who is willing to help out with anything and everything useful onboard, chores, costs, and hopefully the good vibes of the boat as well. I have scuba experience also if that's of any relevance.
