Crew / Deckhand
Hi! I am an Italian sailor from Lake Garda, where I grew up racing dinghies and keelboats from a young age (Optimist, Equipe, 29er) and later competing in major regattas such as the Italian 29er Championships, Centomiglia and Trans Benaco. Alongside racing, I worked as a sailing instructor for several seasons, teaching both children and adults, which gave me strong communication skills and the ability to work patiently and effectively with groups.
Over the past year, I have gained extensive hands-on experience on both private and charter yachts. I spent five months as a deckhand on M/Y Zaffiro, a 89 ft Canados, working on daily charters across the French Riviera as well as high-end events including the F1 Monaco Grand Prix. Alongside guest and charter operations, I gained substantial experience in yacht maintenance, including teak work, epoxy repairs, painting, polishing, engine servicing and basic electrical and plumbing work. I also became very comfortable with tender operations and a wide range of water toys, including water skiing, wakeboarding, e-foil and jet skis. Most recently, I worked as Lead Deckhand on a 102 ft Falcon during a 21-day, 500 NM private cruise across Corsica and Sardinia, assisting and supervising a new deckhand.
I also have offshore sailing experience from my 2,670 NM Atlantic crossing aboard Kialoa III, where I stood watches, handled sails and assisted with offshore navigation and vessel manoeuvres. I hold STCW Basic Safety Training, ENG1, Power Boat II and PADI Open Water Diving certification. Fluent in Italian, English and French, I am adaptable, hands-on and happy to contribute wherever needed, whether on deck, with guests, during maintenance or underway.
