Looking for a Competent Crew, Novice Crew, Deckhand or Cook position
Hi folks.
I'm Daniele, 41 (male) from Sheffield, UK. I've lived most of my life thoroughly connected to the earth (being a grower/plant person) but have recently understood how much I yearn for the sea (Its in my blood - my dad is from Palermo, Sicily). I decided about 6 weeks ago that I wanted to learn how to sail. I've been going out on the water every week since then (I now have my RYA dinghy Level 2) but feel like the best way to learn would be to throw myself in at the deep end, do some crewing and learn from people who really know what they're doing! I would love to learn how to sail and navigate using the older, more traditional methods.
Currently based in the UK but am looking to travel to the Med in December or January to properly try out my sea legs and get some miles under my belt. I spent most of this year camping but now would like to move onto a boat :) I love nature and being outdoors am resilient, good-humoured and friendly. I'm also a good cook! Non-smoker.
