My name is Aleks. I am 40 years old, and I have been working in the corporate IT world for the past 18 years.
I was born in Croatia and moved to Germany when I was 10, where I completed my professional education as an IT specialist.
I am mainly interested in sailing trips where I can gain experience of life on a sailing boat, and I do not get seasick.
I am physically fit (through daily calisthenics), mentally disciplined (through frequent meditation), a non-smoker and non-drinker, and eager to learn new things – especially hands-on skills such as construction, gardening, carpentry, welding, and any other skill that might come in handy while sailing.
I am a native speaker of German, English, and Croatian (with Serbian and Bosnian being very similar). I am travelling on a Croatian passport and am aware of all visa requirements before organising my travel. I am also currently learning Spanish via the Duolingo App.
I am very pragmatic and have strong craftsman skills, along with a common-sense approach to any problem or situation I am presented with.
I am an easy-going and open-minded gentleman with a strong sense of empathy and a harmonious vibe.
I am very flexible with my travel dates and destinations within Central or South America, as I have access to standby flight tickets. I am currently located in Panama and can be at any destination within Central or South America within 48 hours.
