I am a beginner sailor/stew who fell in love with all things boats and water after living on the island of Mayreau as an animal welfare volunteer a couple of years ago. Slowly but surely I have been able to align my life with my true passions and dreams, completing my STCW Basic Safety in November and looking for Stew opportunities come early January- open to any location!
I am an operations and logistics professional and have extensive knowledge in customer service, streamlining operations, managing projects and people, filtering information, and problem solving- this knowledge coupled with my previous experience in hospitality & tourism makes me a top choice for your next crew addition! In my years of luxury event planning I have become an expert in handling high pressure situations, managing attendee safety, and navigating disagreements with tact and sensitivity. My approach to situations is calm, steadfast, and centered on safety.
Outside of my professional experience in event planning and hospitality, I am an incredibly passionate home chef combining my love for European technique with bold fusion style flavors and visually pleasing plates and table presentation. I believe that eating healthy never has to be bland or repetitive and enjoy the controlled chaos of galley cooking for a dinner party. I would be very comfortable with any type of meal planning and preparation included in possible positions.
I sailed over 600 nm in the Tyrrhenian Sea this fall and enjoy living aboard a vessel. I am a strong swimmer and love exploring above and underwater. I am currently based in Chicago and have both U.S. and E.U. citizenship. I am fluent in English and Polish + elementary level Spanish.
