Looking for a Mile building position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
About Me
I’m a recently retired sailor in my early 60s, based in Daytona Beach, Florida. I’m physically fit (5'9", 155 lbs), active, and ready for my next adventure on the water. I work out 4–7 days a week, play singles tennis 2–3 times a week, and keep myself in excellent condition for demanding passages and hands-on work aboard.
I’m a quick learner with strong mechanical aptitude and a calm, reliable presence at sea. My sailing credentials include US Sailing certifications equivalent to ASA 101–106, Cruising Catamaran Endorsement, Navigation I & II, and the International Proficiency Certificate (IPC).
What I’m Looking For
Open to any sailing opportunities—day sails, coastal cruising, offshore deliveries, or ocean crossings, including Transatlantic. I’m easy-going, adaptable, and comfortable contributing wherever needed: watchkeeping, helming, trimming, maintenance, cleaning, and problem-solving.
