Watch: Some of my life on the road in Central America...
Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship or Voluntary work position - Ready to Learn, Ready to Contribute
Hi! I'm a complete sailing novice, and the ocean is calling me. I want to learn to sail while pulling my weight on board doing what needs doing.
I speak French, English and Spanish and I've spent years settling into very different environments across continents, building relationships, showing up reliably, creating spaces where people can be themselves. The past four and a half years journeying through the Americas deepened that capacity to make the unfamiliar familiar.
I read situations and people well, and I show up with curiosity and enthusiasm.
I also value the space to be present and let experiences settle, and I think the sea will help with that.
I know how to work hard, I'm reliable, and I bring warmth with clear boundaries.
I'm happy to adjust to my crew's life on the water.
I've worked with kids and teenagers for years and raised my daughter (now an amazing young woman), so I'm at ease around families.
Among other things I value: directness, gentleness, respect, kindness, authenticity, humor, humility, common sense. I love to laugh. I'm invested in contributing meaningfully wherever I am.
What draws me to sailing is a profound call for another way of living and the humility I believe the ocean imprints on those who dare sail. I'm drawn to a more ecological way of traveling and I am awakening to all of nature and to the mystery and magnificence of the oceans.
Looking for a welcoming crew or family willing to share their life on the water with me and to teach me in exchange for my dependable help, good company, and the kind of presence that makes shared space richer. Available end of March with heads-up.
