Atlantic crossing, free from mid September 2026, collecting miles for certificate and start in longer travel experience
Growing up in the Swiss mountains I only discovered sailing 1.5 years ago but instantly got hooked. June 2025 I got the Swiss sailing licence for inland sailing (I took my exam on a mountain lake 1600 m asl, lovely view and nice steady winds). Atm practicing for the motorboat licence. Offshore theory should follow in summer, so that I'll be able to collect the miles for the licence.
From mountaineering I got a fascination for nature, observing it, deciding accordingly, the play between gear and humans and the interactions with people on the way. I enjoy to take responsibility and constatly improve my skills.
Crossing the Atlantic would be the start of a longer yet unlimited time travelling. The goal is to reach the American continent and on the way learn about sailing, nature, other peoples lives and myself.
