Liveaboard Sailor, 2 Years Aboard, Mediterranean Passages, Seeking Tidal Miles for Yachtmaster Offshore for a Mile building, Delivery Crew or Deckhand position
I’m currently working toward my Yachtmaster Offshore and am looking to gain additional sea miles in tidal waters. For that reason I’m interested in joining boats as crew for passages or deliveries in tidal areas around Europe.
I spent two years living aboard and sailing my own boat, mainly in the Mediterranean. During that time I sailed both single-handed and with crew and completed several longer passages. Living on board full time gave me a lot of practical experience with the day-to-day operation of a sailing boat, including watchkeeping, navigation, sail handling and passage planning.
Owning my own boat also meant being responsible for maintenance and repairs. I carried out both a smaller refit and a major refit myself and previously ran a small boat repair business in France. Because of this background I’m comfortable working on mechanical and onboard systems and generally enjoy solving technical problems on board.
As a crewmember I’m reliable, practical and easy to get along with. I value a clean and well-organized boat and enjoy contributing to a positive and efficient atmosphere on board.
At the moment I’m specifically looking for opportunities in tidal waters in Europe to broaden my experience and continue progressing toward the Yachtmaster Offshore qualification.
