Looking for a Friendship, Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Mile building position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Friendship, Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and seeing the world. It’s been a few years since I was last at sea but I have 5 years of experience working on the STV Pathfinder and TS Playfair (of the Toronto Brigantine Incorporated) where I worked in numerous different roles including bosun, cook, and watch officer. I have lots of experience living at sea as well as maintenance and repair work at the dock, under sail, and in dry dock. I have lots of experience with sail theory, knots, anchoring and sailing/ off dock, traditional navigation methods (ie sextant) as well as modern methods, plumbing and electrical systems, welding, carpentry, mechanical work specifically with maintnenance and repair of diesel engines. I have lived in the Middle East and Africa and adventured through 37 countries (so far) doing anything from a solo trek to Everest base camp (and surviving the earth quake there in 2015) to diving in Cambodia which has taught me to adapt to, and overcome, any challenge. I have a bachelor degree, PADI open water certification as well as cpr and first aid certificates. I’m an honest, happy, intelligent, positive, funny, supportive, and very hard working person looking to meet good people, learn everything I can learn, experience new adventures, build new memories, and see where the winds of life take me! I’m looking for a position where I can work hard contributing to every aspect of life aboard. I have both a Canadian and British passport and am able to provide transportation for myself to almost anywhere in the world. I’m almost entirely flexible with departure and arrival locations as well as duration of the voyage, although I’m partial to somewhere with lots of sun! Looking for something to start anytime after August 2026
