Looking for a Competent Crew position and new friendships
Hi skipper, I’ve recently delivered a yacht from Brisbane to Vuda, before completing a passage to Vanuatu via Tanna, and I’m now looking for a passage from Port Vila to Noumea!
I'm enthusiastic to find a position as a Competent Crew, Voluntary work, Delivery Crew but above all, friendship. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people! I love scuba/ free diving, exploring the remote locations off the beaten path, and I’m already on the islands ready to go.
I’ve been building my skills over the last few years in offshore racing around south east Australia, working in the extremities of sailing as a bowman and have so far covered roughly 4,000NM of deep sea miles. More recently I’ve enjoyed taking it slower and spending time in beautiful remote areas around Tasmania, cruising on my old Duncanson 35, and as mentioned delivering a 50ft monohull 1,500NM as the first mate. Thanks to these experiences I have a VHF licence, sea safety and survival experience, wilderness first aid experience, ability to read and plan around weather, fix boat systems, and above all, a relaxed and positive attitude regardless of the sailing conditions.
