HEADING TO THE CANARY ISLANDS OR CAPE VERDE: 2 CREW MEMBERS LOOKING TO JOIN YOUR BOAT
Ahoy captains!
Who are we?
- Alix and Ophélie, two 24-year-old crew members who met aboard the three-masted schooner Le Kraken.
- A reliable and close-knit duo, eager to fully commit to a real crew adventure (night watches, sail handling, cooking, cleaning, and all the daily tasks on board).
- Our shared passions: sailing, low-carbon travel/slow travel, outdoor sports, photography, music (guitar, piano, singing)…
- Languages spoken: FR, ENG, SPAN, PORT
Available from late September from France/Spain/Portugal to join a boat heading to the Canary Islands or Cape Verde. We've already found a great crew for our Atlantic crossing, so we're looking for a boat to help us reach them in the Canary Islands by the end of October at the latest, or in Cape Verde by mid-November at the latest.
⚓ Our sailing experience
→ 1 month aboard the non-profit three-masted schooner Le Kraken (sailing, day and night watchkeeping, participating in daily life and shared responsibilities on board, safety training, working aloft in a harness up to 30m in the masts)
→ Several sailing trips on a 9m sailboat in La Rochelle
→ One-week Level 1 liveaboard sailing course (Ophélie)
→ Theoretical sailing training (Les Glénans sailing manual)
What can we bring on board
- Good vibes, positive energy, and respect for everyone's pace and needs
- Willingness to get involved in every task on board (we both enjoy DIY and fixing things!)
- Alix is a trained videographer and would be happy to create a beautiful video to help you remember your crossing
- We're both passionate cooks :)
