Novice Crew Available in Bali / Indonesia and region from June
Howdy all,
I’m Carla, currently travelling through Southeast Asia and looking to join a sailing boat from Bali / Indonesia in June. I’m interested in cruising yachts, passages, mile building or longer coastal routes around Indonesia or nearby areas.
I’m looking for real crew experience, not a guest/passenger spot. I’m still building hands-on experience, but I want to be actively involved: watches, anchoring, sail handling, deck work, provisioning, cooking and other boat tasks.
What I’m looking for is a boat where crew are included in the plan, not just carried along. I learn best when I understand what is happening, what the skipper expects and how the boat is run. Clear communication, guidance when needed and a practical onboard role make a big difference.
I’m reliable, practical, active, comfortable in the water and used to simple environments. I love travelling around the sea, islands and coastal places, meeting people from different backgrounds, sharing stories, languages and food, and I like boats with a good mix of sailing, teamwork, everyday life onboard and time to enjoy the places along the way.
Long term, I want to own and sail my own boat, so I’m especially interested in experiences that help me become a more capable and independent sailor.
Open to coastal cruising, passages, mile building or longer plans if the fit is right. Happy to share costs if needed and agreed in advance.
