Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship or Voluntary work position
I'm Jan, a 32-year-old doctor from Germany looking for a spot on an Atlantic crossing from the Canary Islands via Cape Verde.
I've been sailing dinghies for about nine years and absolutely love being on the water. While I don't have offshore experience yet, I'm eager to learn, improve my sailing skills, and finally experience a real ocean passage. I'm happy to get involved in every aspect of life on board and don't mind getting my hands dirty.
In my day job, I'm a board-certified physician in Germany. Working in hospitals has taught me to stay calm under pressure, work night shifts, make decisions when it matters, and be a reliable team member. Hopefully, having a doctor on board is an added bonus.
I also love cooking and would be more than happy to prepare meals for everyone. After a good dinner, I might bring out my guitar if the crew is up for some music!
People usually describe me as easy-going, open-minded, reliable, and curious. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new skills, and sharing adventures. I believe a positive attitude, respect, and good teamwork are what make a great passage.
If you think I'd be a good fit for your crew, I'd love to hear from you. Looking forward to crossing the Atlantic together!
Fair winds,
Jan,
Friendship or Voluntary work. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
