⛵️ Looking for a boat to cross the Atlantic (2026/27) – or a leg from mainland Spain to the Canary Islands / Cape Verde! ?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a berth on a boat sailing from mainland Spain to the Canary Islands or Cape Verde, with the goal of joining an Atlantic crossing during the 2026/27 season.
I'm new to sailing but genuinely keen to learn the ropes and become a useful crew member. I'm looking for a skipper who's happy to take on someone motivated, reliable and willing to put in the work. I know every mile is a learning opportunity, and I'm ready to contribute both on and off watch.
A bit about me:
⛵ Beginner sailor with a strong willingness to learn
? Confident cooking for crews and large groups
? Practical, adaptable and happy to help with maintenance, cleaning, provisioning, and whatever else needs doing
? Plenty of volunteering experience, so I'm used to living and working closely with others
? Easygoing, reliable and a team player
My goal is to gain experience, contribute to the boat, and eventually complete an Atlantic crossing under sail rather than by air.
