Clowni looking for calm and playful crew. Portugal to Brazil?
Coucou,
I’m looking for an opportunity to join a crew between October and December, ideally sailing from Portugal to Brazil or the Caribbean.
I grew up around sailing because my father is an experienced sailor. I spent many summers and holidays on the water with him, so I’m familiar with life on board, watches, and the rhythm of longer passages. While I didn’t have much responsibility for navigating or skippering, I feel comfortable at sea and know what it’s like to live and work as part of a crew.
If needed, I’m happy to complete my VHF radio certificate before departure and prepare in any other way that would make me a more useful crew member. I’m eager to learn and take on more responsibility.
Professionally, I work with database systems for social enterprises and I’m currently finishing my university degree. Before starting my next project, I’d love to experience an Atlantic crossing.
Outside of work, I’m a Contact Improvisation dancer and enjoy movement, creativity, and collaboration. I also have a practical mindset and enjoy helping with repairs, maintenance, and everyday tasks on board. I’m not afraid of hard work, stay calm under pressure, and can handle challenging situations with persistence and a positive attitude.
Communication is one of my strengths. I’m a trained mediator, have lived in shared houses for many years, and genuinely enjoy living and working closely with other people.
I’m curious, reliable, adaptable, and excited to learn from more experienced sailors. Bit lost if all I think that I can bring a playful and cosy atmosphere and now a then my clown wakes up and brings us some surprises into the blue. I’d be very grateful for the opportunity to become part of your beautiful crew and contribute wherever I can.
