Offering a helping hand on and under deck for sailings in different parts of the Atlantic in 2026/2027
Hey out there,
my name is Johanna and after having finished the first part of my studies in environmental sciences, I want to get out into the world for a year to meet inspiring people and experience different places. My friends describe me as optimistic, enthusiastic and easy going, I like to communicate openly and I'll bring a guitar to play and sing (maybe together?! :)).
I learned sailing for half a year in primary school and continued in 2024 during my exchange semester in Lausanne, where I learned to navigate small boats and how to read the wind and use it. In 2025 I did a week of sailing in the wadden sea on a traditional sailboat, so I also have a bit of experience on larger boats and with sea conditions. And I really liked the freedom of being out between the waves and the sky, so this upcoming year, my dream is to gain more experience in sailing and cross the Atlantic ocean twice. I therefore offer my helping hands for sailing, cooking, cleaning etc. hoping to find one or several nice boats and crew for different stretches (I am planning Spain-Canaries mid-end september, canaries-brasil october-december, colombia-carribbean april-mai, carribbean-azores/europe mai-july). But with the right crew, I am happy to go whereever the winds take us, so feel free to write me also for other times/destinations.
