Looking to join a fun crew for a passage leaving Australia
Hi! I'm Fien, a 25-year-old from Belgium currently exploring the beauty of Australia. I've always had a passion for travel and adventure, and I'm now hoping to experience life at sea by joining a sailing crew. I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Deckhand, Cook, Nanny or Mile building. Or any opportunity where I can make myself usefull to a crew!
It has always been a dream of mine to learn how to sail. There’s something magical—and a little bit scary—about being off the grid, surrounded by nothing but the ocean. I’ve always loved swimming, snorkeling, and everything the sea has to offer, and spending time in Australia deffinitely made me fall in love with the ocean even more. You never know what the ocean is going to surprise you with.
I have spent quite some time going on daily adventures with my friends on a tinny. Going fishing and preparing our catch in the evening makes for the best diner. But I would love to go on longer, bigger andventures! From going days without seeing land, to watching breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, gazing at the stars at night, and discovering hidden beaches and remote islands—this kind of adventure truly excites me.
One of my biggest motivations is my best friend since childhood, who knows how to sail and dreams of buying a boat one day to sail around the world. He’s still saving up for it, and in the meantime, I want to learn how to sail so I can join him on that amazing journey when the time comes!
