Looking for Sailing Opportunities – Crew / Mile Building / Atlantic Experience
Hi! I’m Áron from Hungary, currently travelling around the world and spending time in Portugal. I’m looking for opportunities to join sailing boats as crew, especially offshore passages, deliveries, mile building and longer trips.
I’ve recently started building practical sailing experience in Portugal, including sailing yachts and a catamaran. I’ve already had the opportunity to helm a yacht, work with winches and sheets, handle sails and learn basic manoeuvres under the skipper’s supervision.
My long-term goal is to own a sailing boat and eventually cross the Atlantic. Right now I’m looking for the experience needed to become a reliable and useful offshore crew member.
I’m happy to help with anything on board – watches, sail handling, deck work, maintenance, cleaning, cooking or general boat work. I’m easy-going, practical, physically fit and a quick learner.
I’m currently flexible with location and dates. I’m especially interested in Portugal, Spain, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Atlantic crossings.
I’m not primarily looking for money – experience, learning and good sailing are what I’m after
