Looking for Atlantic Crossing E to W - December 2026
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I am interested in looking for opportunities to build miles and experience as a crew member on ocean crossings. I own a Nonsuch Nereus 40 Cat Ketch, and I would eventually like to do some crossings on her myself. Therefore, I would like to join other experienced crews.
I have experience sailing all over the Mediterranean Sea on various boats from a young age. In, 2021,22,23 and 2024 I participated in the Rolex Middle Sea Race, placing 2nd in IRC4 in 2024 as a crew member aboard IMX40'Geisha'. As well as other podium finishes in various local regattas in Malta. I started my offshore racing experience 6 years ago. I can sit in all positions (except bow) on the boat if required.
With boat maintenance, and repairs, I have some fiberglass repair experience from various repairs on Journeyman (my boat). I also completely redid the Nav, Wind and autopilot system on her, so I have an understanding of how the systems all work, and can be useful in the event on needing to troubleshoot and repair systems. I also do my own servicing of the engine, so I am able to troubleshoot marine diesel engine issues, I am however not a mechanic, so my knowledge of repairs, or replacements relies heavily on a printed manual, or an internet connection. Other usual maintenance, cleaning, painting, polishing I can contribute.
I would like to cross E to W at the end of the year.
