Looking for Sailing Crew Position – Brazil to South Africa | Dec/Jan
Hi! I'm Pepijn, a 28-year-old Dutch traveler currently traveling around the world.
I'm looking for an opportunity to join a sailing boat crossing the South Atlantic from Brazil (or elsewhere in South America) towards South Africa/Namibia, ideally around late December 2026 or January 2027.
I don't have extensive sailing experience yet, but I'm fit, hardworking, easy-going and very willing to learn. I'm happy to help with watches, cooking, cleaning, deck work and anything else needed on board. I'm also willing to contribute towards food and reasonable shared expenses.
I'm very flexible with departure ports and dates and can travel to meet the boat anywhere in Brazil, Uruguay or nearby.
I'm a travel filmmaker/YouTuber documenting my journey around the world. I'd love to document an Atlantic crossing as part of the journey, but only with the skipper's and crew's permission, and I completely respect privacy on board.
I speak English and Dutch, hold a Dutch/EU passport, and I'm comfortable with a long offshore passage.
Looking for: Brazil/South America → Namibia/Cape Town/South Africa
Available: Late December 2026 – January 2027
Position: Voluntary crew / novice crew / deckhand
If you're planning a South Atlantic crossing around this period, I'd love to hear from you!
