Enthusiastic Sailor | Deliveries & Mile Building
Hi everyone!
I’m a keen and enthusiastic sailor based on the south coast of England, looking to gain more experience through yacht deliveries, coastal passages, offshore sailing and mile-building opportunities.
I’ve currently logged over 225 nautical miles, including a five-day passage from Falmouth to the Isles of Scilly and back, which involved overnight sailing and watchkeeping. I’ve also gained experience cruising and racing out of Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne, including competing in a 20NM pursuit race.
I’m a member of Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club and regularly take opportunities to get out on the water. I’m working towards my RYA Day Skipper qualification, which I aim to complete in December 2026, with Coastal Skipper planned for 2027.
I’m particularly interested in joining yacht deliveries, whether that’s a few days along the UK coast, a Channel crossing or a longer international passage. I’m happy to volunteer and contribute towards reasonable expenses in exchange for valuable experience.
I’m hardworking, reliable, practical and always keen to learn from experienced skippers. I’m also a former professional chef, so I’m more than happy to take charge of the galley!
Based in East Sussex, but happy to travel across the UK or abroad for the right opportunity. Weekends are generally easiest, although longer passages can be arranged with some notice.
Ultimately, I’m looking to become a confident and capable offshore sailor, build lasting connections within the sailing community and gain as much practical experience as possible.
