Looking for a 1st Mate, Deckhand, Delivery Crew or Stew/Deck position
I have recently been crewing for over a year on a 55ft sailing yacht, taking part in the ARC Europe 2026 – from the Caribbean to Lagos, Portugal, 3,500 nm, May to June 2026, and the World ARC from Fiji to the Caribbean, 17,000 nm, from July 2025 to April 2026.
I am now back in the UK and available immediately for any crew opportunities, ideally a professional position as 1st Mate / deck hand. I'm looking to do my STCW Basic Safety Training course in the next month, so available for commercial work aboard vessels over 24 metres.
In Feb/March 2025, I took part as race crew in the RORC Caribbean 600 and the 45th Heineken Regatta.
Before this, I lived and worked in New York, USA, for 3 years. I joined the Hudson River Community Sailing (HRCS) sailing J80 & J40's on the Hudson River every weekend. I also participated in the Fairlead program with HRCS, a women's mentoring program for learning and advancement, to become a skipper.
In 2013 / 2014, I took part in the Clipper Round The World Ocean Race, completing 15,000 nms over 3 months on 3 legs of the race (London, UK - Rio, Brazil- Cape Town, SA - Albany, Australia)
In the year after Clipper, I did several yacht deliveries across the Mediterranean.
