Looking to crew on cruising sailboats while sharing the love for sailing.
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Competent Crew or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
I have owned 3 sailboats. My last one was a Malo 39 which I sailed over 6K nm mostly solo on the US East Coast and Bahamas. I'm based in San Diego, California, and would love the opportunity to crew for you in your cruising endeavors or daysails. Realistically sailing out of the South West coast of the US is the most practical for me, but would be willing to look at travelling to a different area for a wonderful sailing opportunity. I'm a young retiree with a lot of free time and very flexible schedule.
I'm easygoing, reliable, responsible. I listen more than I talk. I feel at ease on a sailboat and don't get seasick.
When I'm on land I enjoy hiking, backpacking, and woodworking. I stay in shape going to the gym regularly and hiking locally. I'm happy reading a book, sitting down watching a sunset, or lounging or sharing a meal with friends.
I'd be happy sailing for a day or weeks at a time. You're saying you want to sail from California to Hawaii? Go South to Baja/Mexican Riviera? I'm your man for these and many other adventures. Let's talk.
