The nearest I got to a boat in 2020 was some repairs and maintenance to a dry docked catamaran in Greece...I plan on making up for it in 2021...enough now covid, you've had your fun...
I have been sailing since 2016 and in that time have completed trips of various lengths and styles, with varying roles in the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Portuguese coast, Biscay, Irish Sea, Scottish west coast and the Baltic totalling about 7,000 nm.
I completed my Comp Crew and Day Skipper courses on the west coast of Scotland. Along with this I also took a variety of shorebased courses - Day Skipper and Yachtmaster shorebased, VHF radio, First aid, Sea survival and Diesel engine maintenance. I also have my Powerboat level two. Courses don't make you a master in anything but they give you if not some foundations then at least a little understanding to get you going. Although I don't have huge amount of experience I have do my PADI Advanced Open Water too so keen to do a little diving if opportunity arises
I loved the Baltic for what it had to offer just as much as I have the Aegean, the Med and the rugged coasts of Scotland and Galicia. My sights are starting to be directed slightly further afield now though and I'm dreaming of an ocean, the South American fjords, ice sailing in Antarctica and the Arctic, the Pacific...I'm pretty open. I can cook and I love getting my hands dirty. Generally I get on well with people. I'm simply looking for an interesting trip with interesting people that I can be of genuine use on...not too much to ask I'm sure
