Longtime traveller willing to learn with 4 weeks offshore experience
Currently in New Zealand to bike around Auckland, BOP and Northland. If given heading for a short trip to Samoa or Cook Islands in Oktober. Planning to leave for my South America trip from Europe in November/Dezember 2019. Traveling and exploring new destinations is my passion. I'm a island/beach/ocean lover and scuba diver (PADI AOWD). I can give a hand on the boat and would like to learn more about sailing, navigation and living aboard. I don't have any qualification but been aboard a monohull for 4 weeks along East Coast Australia. During that time as was giving a hand setting sails by instruction, docking at the harbour, general maintenance and cooking shared meals. This previous trip was a volunteering/friendship position and I would repeat this great time. I've also been on a cruise ship 2 times as well as some longboats, fisher boats, katamaran for island trips around Southeast Asia . I'm good with computers, a good swimmer and a decent hobby cook. My most imprinting memory offshore was the last night aboard when got caught up in a storm and and had to motor through it after belated taking the sails in and having the 15feet boat bending with the railing almost at waterlevel. What a scarey but impressive adventure!
